Gardner sprouts another tooth... Bottom left.... Now he has a full set of four on that level! :) Way to go, G. You're well on your way to that rib-eye.... (Well, that is....if you ever decide to like meat.)

More photos.... Gardner, doing one of his favorite things....reading. Just look at that rat's nest in his hair. He slept really well the night before, I'd say....

Gardner's photo face has returned! We missed it.....
Stories to share, tales to tell.... Another great part about motherhood? Sharing our mom stories with our girlfriends. Last night over dinner, five friends and I took turns in a way telling the funny or frustrating things about our kids. We laughed, we sighed, we nearly cried. Every mom had a story that seemed to "top" the previous one, and it was a fun round of inspiration, encouragement, and advice-seeking. We're all in different stages of motherhood.....from just considering motherhood, to being a mom for only 7 weeks to up to 2-1/2 years....so on things we've been though, we share....on things coming up ahead, we learn. And everybody learns from the mistakes (and triumphs) of others. I thank God for such a close network of Godly moms. I am learning so much, and I hope that I am helping in my own way, too, by my personal experiences. What a great plan God set up.
Gardner puts two words together! Our pediatrician told us that the language milestones are: 15 words by age 15 months, 2 word phrases by 2 years of age, and a simple sentence by 3 years old. Well, Gardner can now say, "Bye-bye, kitty," what Ken and I fully consider a "2 word phrase," and he's only 14 months old. Way to go, Little G. Looks like you are going to be very articulate like your mom and dad. :) (We're still working on the "k" sound, though. "Bye-bye kitty" is actually verbalized as "Bye-bye titty." I know, I know. We laugh, too. :)
Gardner goes to the zoo!! See pictures here . In other news, his top left molar is struggling to break through the gum. Not as bad as I had expected, but he is noticeably a little frustrated with the whole thing (and rightly so). We officially took him to get his first "shoe fitting" last week. Gone are the days of crib shoes and bare feet when we go out in public. He is all grown up now, with laced shoes and soles with arch supports (sniff sniff).
Gardner's new words: Kitty cat - i.e., pronounced "titty" (I'm not trying to be crude here...it's what he really says :) Light - i.e., pronounced "HhheeeitttttT" (sounds a bit like "hot" which he's already mastered, with the same hard "T" sound at the end, but with a definite "I" sound in the middle) Blue - i.e., pronounced "bbfffwwwooo" (Blue, from Blue's Clues, of course) Oh...and everything he can't say the word for is "beeee." He points at everything of interest and exclaims "beee." Those Baby Einstein flash cards are a dream. I sat down with him and reviewed them while dinner was being prepared....I think I have to go out and buy the entire series now. I'm hooked.
