Good stuff's getting posted here, but unfortunately, I've been so busy that I haven't had the opportunity to get myself online. Some of you are getting a biased depiction of this baby thing. Unfortunately, there's not THAT much to tell that hasn't already been told, but I will amuse you with one small anecdote.

One benefit, I've heard, of this pregnancy thing is that Mom craves unusual, new, or at least different, foods. There's an often untouched, but extremely powerful, tool at the husband's disposal that is oft overlooked... the power of suggestion. Most people thing "oh, she gets to crave and eat ANYTHING SHE WANTS," and the hapless fellas are left only with the joy of running to Ingle's at 10:45pm. And hear is where the power of suggestion comes in. Instead of waiting for a (very strange) craving comes about, use the situation for your advantage. "mmmm... I love pizza. pepperoni. sausage. gooey cheesy. look at that gooey cheese." A comment like this, dropped at the right time, (such as during a Papa John's commercial on TV) with land you a trip to the local pizza parlor. You look like a hero, you get a pizza. Everybody wins.

So far, this has only worked once for me (and it was a pizza, thank you very much). Today, however, I came close to landing a Burger King cheeseburger.

Guys, what I'm saying is this, cash in on those food cravings. You are GOING to GO to the store. Face it, accept it. You may as well steer the car towards a restaurant you love. This is a God-given benefit, use it.

So, I'll keep you posted of my food manipulations. Wish me luck (and maybe a trip to China Buffet).

until later
