Well, the morning sickness isn't really "sickness" for me at all, but more or less just an ickiness all day long. Or most of it. I usually feel the worst AFTER eating, which seems strange. I have never felt really nauseous, just kinda swimmy with a headache, a queasy stomach, and a general feeling of outright carsickness. Guess it's different for everybody!

This week, week 6, the baby's neurological base is forming. There is a primitive beating heart! Tiny buds are where the arms and legs will be. Dental buds (what a cute word pair!!) are where his/her teeth will be! And from the research I've been doing, the nerves are already connected which means the baby can respond to touch and pain. So fast, and so early! Also, the baby begins MOVING about halfway through the 6th week (although I won't be able to feel it, obviously, for some time yet). How big is it? About 1/2 to 3/4 inches long....kinda like a pinto bean! It still amazes me how God is weaving together such an intricate little person in only a few months....

Ken is sitting here saying "tooth buds" over and over....and giggling. He is thinking this is even better and greater by the day! :-)
