I am 30 weeks....finally! What a great feeling to know that I am now 3/4ths of the way to the point where I can hold this baby! The baby can now open and close his eyelids, and see light from the outside. He also began pushing more upward on my lungs this week....especially when I lie down....and he has officially begun the quick kicks to my ribs! What a strange feeling.

The baby weighs about 3 lbs. and is about 14 inches from head to toe. Most of the length is already on the little guy....the next few weeks will be spent just padding his little body with fat for warmth. Within the next 4 weeks or so, he should slowly turn downward into the proper position for birth.

Heartburn is now a relatively common occurance for me nightly....I have gotten used to sleeping elevated on three pillows now (when you're really tired, it doesn't matter!). I am still able to exercise....it just has to be broken up into shorter sessions throughout my day. For one, I tire out much faster....so after walking or doing aerobics for 30 minutes, I feel as if I've been at it for an hour. Also, having to make my rounds by the house for frequent bathroom breaks really cuts into the stride.....if you can imagine. :-) I have also tried some prenatal yoga, and boy, that is wonderful to relieve back pain and belly pressure.

:-) Meg
