So many wonderful changes have occurred since I last posted to the blog! Gardner is now adhering to a predictable schedule during the day, which includes a nap every 1-1/2 hours or so. He has really responded well to the scheduled sleep; it is about that time that he starts to rub his little eyes and get cranky. When he wakes up 45 minutes later, he is all smiles and coos! I was fearful that so much daytime sleep would mess up his night sleeping, but no fear in that. He has still been averaging 6-8 hours of sleep at a time at night...much needed zzz's for mom!

Christmas is only 3 days away, and I can hardly wait to experience it with Gardner for the first time! I watch how excited he gets with his little musical bouncer seat, and I can't help but to shiver with excitement as I remember what is under the tree....a Symphony Gym! After much research and decision-making, it is the one big gift we are giving him, and I know he will love the music and the rainbow-colored light effects.

Ken and I are making a birthday cake for Jesus, as I mentioned earlier, and we are also going to start reading the Christmas story from Luke to Gardner every Christmas morning before we open gifts. Those two things will be our top family traditions and priorities each holiday season. It will be something in which Gardner will have a firm establishment from the very beginning, so that he can carry with him all that he will learn about the true meaning of this special time of year.

I'm off now to do some recipe browsing online, to enjoy one of my several times to myself each day! :0) I am a much happier mom and lots less stressed now that we are in this regimen; life is so much more pleasant at the Wilson household. :0)

I just thought I'd add, as the Dad, that Gardner rules. By far the cutest baby this year... hand's down awesome. 10 out of 10, a must-see baby.
