Gardner rolled over for the very first time on Tuesday.... He was playing on his belly (which he's gotten used to and likes now!), and he suddently thrashed sideways and rolled over onto his back. He gazed up at us, eyes wide, as if he were asking himself, "Now, how'd I do that?" Ken and I were both fortunate enough to actually be sitting beside him and see him accomplish it! We squealed (well, I squealed. Guys don't "squeal.") :0)
He did it again last night while we were playing with him....so we really know our eyes weren't playing tricks...he really did it.
Now, some would argue that turning from belly to back is not officially "turning over for the first time." I say it is. He turned OVER; no one said it had to be one direction only! I wrote it down in his baby book as so, and when he can later go the other direction, I'll write that down to remember, as well.
Way to go, Gardner!!
