Lots to update!

First of all, Gardner went to the doctor for his four month check-up on Friday. He now weighs 13.5 lbs. and is 25-1/2 inches long! He is right in line with where he should be at four months.

He received a DTP as well as two other shots, the same vaccines he'd been given at 2 months. However, this time, it created quite a harsh reaction. By 4:00 that afternoon he was feverish and screaming. He remained feverish all weekend; the fever finally broke last night. Yet he has been fussier than normal. Poor little guy. It absolutely breaks my heart when he feels badly.

Dr. Treash also told us to start him on solid cereal this week, so he ate two servings of rice cereal yesterday and loved it. We have it all documented on video and still film!

We are also trying to amend his nap schedule, to cut his short 4-5 naps a day down to two longer naps. Yesterday was the trial run; it was patience-inducing to say the least. He was a little crankier than usual during the day, but he refused to go to bed! He finally fell asleep after crying, exhausted, at 12 midnight, only to wake up again at 2:30. We are going to try this again today, though, since new habits take 2-3 days to take effect. We will see.

Off to feed him now...he's crying in my lap as I type!
