Gardner is now rolling all OVER the place!
He can roll front to back, back to front, and scoot in a circle off of whatever surface upon which he is playing (usually a big blanket sprawled on the floor). He can sit up by himself with just a little help from his Boppy pillow! It's amazing to see how he is developing.
He still LOVES to be read to. I bought him a cute picture book with real photographs of animals. He clutches that little square book like a briefcase as he is toted around the house in my arms.
He now recognizes certain words and makes obvious signs that he hears us. He fully comprehends the phrases, "Do you want to EAT?" and "Do you want to go for a RIDE?". He also knows the word "cereal" and "kitty cat." We have taught him to say "mmmmm" the whole time he is eating pureed foods...it's rather cute.
We feed him out of little Pier 1 ramekins. He knows that when one of these is pulled out of the cabinet, cereal or sweet potatoes are soon to follow. Tonight I made chocolate mousse for dessert, and I chilled it inside of these little dishes. When we walked into the den with these little white cups and began eating, he went crazy. He whined and threw his arms all about, giving us weird looks such as, "Why are you eating MY food?" It amazed me how observant he is. Just like his mom. :)
More photos to come soon. There are tons on my camera....I just need to load them!
