I cannot believe how time flies.

I mean, it was just a year ago tomorrow that we found out that our baby was going to be a boy. Wow. It seems like just a couple of months ago. Now our baby is born and already has his first tooth.

This was a week of more "firsts," so to speak. Gardner tried chicken for the first time. Initial diagnosis? He hates it. It made him gag! I tried homemade pureed organic chicken first. Then I mixed it with carrots to make it more palatable. Then, thinking it was the consistency and not the actual flavor that turned him off, I tried a jarred variety mixed with wild rice and other yummy things. He still gagged....and it made him sick. I think he's on the track to becoming vegetarian at this point. No, probably not really, but that's what we joke about, anyway!

Gardner is now "scooting" backwards. He loves just being put down onto our hardwood floors. He will scoot and turn every which way. He is so amazed that he can actually be mobile now without depending on us to take him from here to there.

I have spent some time this week trying to get his baby book together (baby book / scrapbook), and I have also been framing some photos that were due to be framed. I love seeing him in pictures. I still do a double-take when I see our son.....OUR SON....framed and placed on our den wall. It's surreal....but wonderful.
