Gardner's first haircut! Dec. 28, 2005 at Lollipops. Take a good look, cause these locks are not going to stick around much longer!
He sat so still!
There go those adorable little side curls.
This is the hard part....the bangs. He didn't like this.
Finishing up. Now he looks less like a little baby and more like a little man!

....So now I have a bathroom story. Every mom has them. Most start around this age. Here's mine. We bought Gardner his first potty chair a couple of weeks back. We mainly wanted to get him used to the fact that it's a "piece of furniture" now, to get him used to seeing it. We taught him how to sit on it, clothed. Well, yesterday, while prepping him for a bath, I taught him how to sit on it....unclothed. I told him that "this is where you tee-tee" (that's what we call it 'round here). He giggled, and stood up. I turned my attention back to the bathtub water level, and glanced back just in time to see a stream shooting forth and hitting the potty seat, potty lid, and the shower curtain. He looked incredibly proud of his feat. I really believe he thought he'd just tee-teed in his potty. I laughed till my sides hurt. I figured that wouldn't happen again, at least for a while. I was wrong. I just had the same incident occur minutes ago, wh...
Two days and counting until Gardner's birthday! We're spending these last two days doing last minute preparations on the food, decorations, and party favors. He's having fun with me just riding around town and ducking in and out of stores. He's so intrigued by balloons....just wait until he sees so many of them at his own house....just for him! I'm praying the weather will be good for his parties. Doesn't look like rain will spoil it, but unseasonably warm September weather may make everybody a bit uncomfortable. It was my dream to have his parties outside, though, and I was thrilled to have a September baby so that I could do just that. I will make it work! Last minute touches on his video slideshow to do yet, still. I have had such a fun time working on this. Only two more days to be a "baby," Gardner! After Wednesday, you'll enter the wide, wide world of toddlerhood! I think I'm ready! I know you are!
Sweet things I love about Gardner.... (a list by Mommy) - The way you snuggle up under our chins, or place your cheek on our cheeks, when we hold you. I never met a more lovable baby. - The way you shiver and giggle when I put lotion on your arms and chest after your baths. - The way you look in overalls, or in wide-legged pants...so stylish for a 6-month old, you are. - The way you reach out in the early morning light to touch my face, to make sure it's really me, when I come and get you up to feed you. Your little hand reaches up to touch my chin and cheek, then a warm smile spreads on your little lips. - The way you blow pureed carrots in little tiny splats all over your high chair (and me). - The way you look at us, wide-eyed, when we clap for you, wondering what on earth we're doing. - The way you look at me when I dance around the house to loud music, again, wondering what on earth I'm doing! - The little coos I hear from you in the backseat when we're driving ...
